Singer/songwriter Patrick Lentz recently released his latest album, Tell Me What You Want. The album was recorded with Producer Matthew Russo, and touches on a range of musical styles, spanning hip hop, rock, soul, and pop.

Tell Me What You Want explores a new found freedom from a life of obligations and responsibilities. Through his charming lyricism and vocal gifts, Lentz reflects on a time of love, heartbreak, and a new beginning. Lentz comments, "The songs were fantasies of who I wanted to be and the situations I wanted to be in. The album captures the desire to create a new existence, put yourself out there, and test what it is like to be on your own again."

On the dance worthy opening track, "Dope To Me," Lentz declares his playful side with lyrics like, "Baby, you are such a cutie-tell me is your dad a dealer, cause you're dope to me" over an infectious beat that captivates and energizes the listener. The album brings his audience full circle with the track, "Find You There," as Lentz sings, "I don't know what the season will bring, it remains unclear, but I hope I find you there." The thoughtful meditation in these lyrics and those of "Home", suggest a sort of introspection in the midst of party songs like "Get On Up" and "Tell Me What You Want".

Lentz' presence establishes him as an artist to watch, and he cites the following artists as his influences: Stevie Wonder, Citizen Cope, Hall and Oates, and Maroon Five. Patrick Lentz' songs are tangible, portraying universal sentiments of love and reflection through a myriad of musical traditions. Tell Me What You Want has made its way through Kansas City, and paves the way for future sounds to come.

We want to submit a video of Sam Fish. There are many good vids of her on youtube to choose from but we picked this one because it is one of her more intense performances. Just read the comments people are posting about her, they speak truth.

Are they flying talent into town to audition? Thank God David Cook moved here. Surely they don't think they are going to find anything worth a million dollars in KC? KC is the dry gulch of the talent universe and the talent is about as world class as a 5th grade talent show. What folks tout as talent in this town is a Gong Show reject about anywhere else. Lets hope they don't get a peek at the old Harrah's late night talent show tapes or they will have to be held at gun point. America may have talent. Kansas City has AMC.

Referring to the above comment about KC having no talent - it's not that there isn't any talent here - it's just that the midwest is considerably more conservative than the big music cities like LA, New York, etc. But hey, that's a GOOD thing. I don't want to live in a city where people are always trying to scam their way up the show biz ladder - crawling all over each other to land a gig in a TV commercial - waiting tables and writing songs on the side - playing in crappy coffee houses for free - or as in LA some bands even PAY to play at their stupid nightclubs. I like the way Kansas City is laid back and non aggressive - can you imagine if it was as phony and pretentious as LA? Yikes.

"thank God David Cook moved here"???? For fuck's sake why? You call that talent? Freddie Mercury was a singer. David Cook is a walking haircut, a glorified karaoke singer. What are you, a 14 year old girl?

Gonna have to agree with 7:16 - Freddie Mercury was the best male vocalist to ever walk this planet. David Cook doesn't even come close, but hey, I'm sure that he would be the first to admit that - c'mon man, that's Fred Mercury we're talking about - NO singer would ever claim to best his act.
