Charity Event 2012 - Masquerade by First Hand Foundation KCMB News

Masquerade 2012 by Cerner's First Hand Foundation - KCMB Kansas City News

One of the biggest and most exciting Kansas City charity events, Masquerade 2012 benefitting The First Hand Foundation by Cerner, happens this Saturday October 27th, 2012 at The Midland Theatre. In it's 7th year, this year's charity fundraiser is poised to be one of the biggest Masquerade parties yet.

The theme for Masquerade 2012 is "Where the Wild Things Are" and will feature live music from Kansas City U2 Tribute Band Rattle and Hum, produced by Adam Blue Productions.  Also, performing live will be The La De Dahs presented by Bands For Hire Live! First Hand Foundation's Masquerade 2012 will feature excellent cuisine provided by PB&J in the form of a large scrumptious buffet. There will be an open bar, photo booths, and of course everyone will be dressed up in their "wildest thing".

Masquerade 2012 Attire
In years past this event was pretty much black tie with a masquerade mask encouraged, this year, however, it seems that they are loosening things up a bit and inviting guests to dress "animal creative" similar to Jazzoo or a storybook monster costume, suits and evening gowns are the norm at this event, so that is still acceptable with a mask of some kind. If you don't have anything on hand, or don't have time to prepare, they will sell you a mask at the event. There will be face painters on hand as well, in case you want to go that extra mile! There will be prizes given out for best costume and also for best dressed.

Pricing for Masquerade 2012 ranges from $1,500 - $60,000 for sponsorship levels, or you can purchase individual tickets for $110.00 each.

Drink and graze, listen to some of Kansas City's best bands and come be a part of the event of the year!

Cerner's First Hand Foundation is an outreach charity program that works to provide funding for children's health care when insurance and other resources are exhausted. Cerner's Masquerade 2012 proceeds will all benefit The First Hand Foundation.

The First Hand Foundation is one of Kansas City's best charity organizations. Helping out the children is what this charity event is all about. There are still tickets available so if you don't have plans for Saturday, Masquerade is a great cause.
