Claire McCaskill Denies Report of Pressuring DNC

Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill is denying reports that she urged the Democratic National Committee not to hold their 2012 Convention in St Louis. New York Times Blogger Jeff Zeleny wrote Tuesday that McCaskill "took her concerns straight to the White House, according to party leaders familiar with the selection process." McCaskill reportedly had concerns that the convention would draw protesters and potentially "complicate" her re-election bid. Basically, she didn't want to be seen on the stage with Obama, who is not really highly regarded in Missouri. She also feared the Convention competing for fundraising dollars in the State.

The accusation that Senator McCaskill argued against a St Louis convention could be potentially damaging to her reputation in Missouri. These kind of events typically bring in MILLIONS of dollars, and I don't mean just a few, try a couple hundred, into the local economy. Also, her union friends might not be very appreciative seeing how Charlotte, the chosen sight for the 2012 convention, has no union hotels. The actions of the Senator will no doubt be seen as selfish to her constituency in Missouri.

On Wednesday, McCaskill told the Associated Press that the story was false. Mr Zeleny responded that his report "speaks for itself". Who to believe in this sordid mess? A lying politician, or a reporter for the most liberally biased newspaper in the country, that's a tough call. Personally I think her support of Obamacare and the so called stimulus package has her doomed anyway.

Emanuel Cleaver Confident in the Face of Redistricting

There is a Federal census every 10 years as mandated in the U. S. Constitution. For those of you that didn't notice, that census was in 2010. The year after the census, State Legislatures must decide if, and how districts should be changed to reflect the changing population centers. Sometimes states even lose or gain seats. That's what is happening in Missouri right now. Starting with the 2012 Congressional elections, Missouri will have 8 Representatives, down from 9 currently.

What does all this mean? The Missouri State Legislature is heavily Republican (roughly two thirds). Locally, it will mean that the seat currently held by my (and your) favorite Congressman will certainly have to be enlarged. That will not be an advantage for the Honorable (cough, cough) Mr. Cleaver. Likely, his district will include more of eastern Jackson County like Blue Springs, Oak Grove, etc - and possibly even parts of the Northland in Kansas City. These areas are heavily more conservative than the inner city where Cleaver currently holds strong support. He may have to actually run on ideas rather than race.

Representative Cleaver, who currently heads the Socialist and Race Baiting Congressional Black Caucus, remains confident about his political future. He probably is safe, The Justice Department will be called on if neccesary to enforce a provision of the Voting Rights Act that virtually assures a majority black district stays that way. But he may have to listen a little harder to all of his constituants, black and white.

Liberals/Democrats don't have anything left but racism.

When children lose every battle they fight, after a while they choose not to fight and resort to name calling. Liberals/democrats do this every time you hear one of them call someone or some group racist. This irritates and amuses the heck out of me because they have no ability to have a conversation when facts are involved. Their brains explode when someone confronts them with facts (like the bot girls do in Austin Powers when he counters their attack with his mojo)...it's crazy!

This exact scenario played out perfectly Sunday when Chris Wallace of Fox News handed Howard Dean his azz (Howard was the guy with the worst sounding campaign rally cry in the history of the planet) and made him listen to the facts on an issue. When confronted with the facts, Howard Dean just froze, and then of course went back to calling Fox News racist.

Howard Dean and every other liberal Democrat on the planet who believes that anyone who doesn't believe like they do is racist, is insane! I can't wait until the Democrats/liberals develop the skill of arguing/conversing with facts, lose their emotion, grow up, and stop calling people racist when getting their buttocks kicked on an issue (or are losing at the polls).

Next time you hear someone called a racist, look for the Democrat/liberal who just lost an argument...and think of Sir Otilc.
