Kansas City Plaza Art Fair in it's 80th Year

Now in it's 80th year, The Plaza Art Fair in Kansas City 2011 kicked off Friday night and will run through 6pm on Sunday. Although cumbersome to those who live on the plaza and have to try to find a place to park to get to their home, the Plaza Art Fair attracts over 300,000 visitors each year to take a gander at over 240 artists, 26 local Kansas City restaurants, and three live music stages with Kansas City bands that will line up throughout each day as follows:

Riverside Blast Concert and Fireworks Tonight

Tonight will feature one of Kansas City's first full blown fireworks shows of the year at the City of Riverside's annual Riverside Blast concert and fireworks show.

Riverside Blast 2011 is produced by Adam Blue Productions and this year will feature live music from Lipriddle and also headline act Perpetual Change.  The fireworks will "blast off" at 10pm following the concert.

Parking: Event parking will be in designated areas around the festivities and the Riverside City Hall parking lot.
Food/Drink: Food vendors will be available and the Riverside Chamber of Commerce will be selling beer, but outside coolers are welcome!  If you plan on bringing your own alcoholic beverages, please note that you will be required to purchase a wrist band for $5 from the Chamber tent OR you can receive a wrist band for free with the purchase of one beer from the Chamber tent.

Masquerade 2010 - Cerner's First Hand Foundation

Masquerade - Cerner's First Hand Foundation Charity Fundraiser October 30th at The Midland Theater

Masquerade entertainment is presented each year by Adam Blue Productions and this year will feature one of the hottest new 80's bands in Kansas City - Perpetual Change - and will also feature opening act Sean McNown.  Masquerade is one of the most exclusive charity events in Kansas City and ticket prices range from $100 for one ticket to $60,000 for group rates.

Cerner's charity for children "First Hand Foundation" will hold it's annual charity fundraiser this year at The Midland Theater on October 30th.  Our friend Shanna Hilt of the Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders is heading up the event (pictured right).
