Chiefs Dominated by Chargers

The Kansas City Chiefs were dominated by the Chargers in every phase of the game Sunday. It can only be described as a forgetful performance by the Chiefs. Brody Croyle certainly would like to forget his only start of the season, and 10th consecutive loss as a Chiefs Starter. Though Croyle could be an easy target, this game was by no means his fault. In fact, the rest of the team and the coaching staff should issue a public apology to Brody for the lack of support.

The Offensive Line play was terrible - the worst of the season. Barry Richardson looked lost, and the coaching staff doesn't get the man any help. No holes opened up for the running game and no time for the quarterback. When Croyle did have time, he actually passed the ball pretty well. A key drop by Bowe on third down, a nice pass play called back by penalty, and a great defensive play by a San Diego back kept Croyle's efforts from showing up on a stat sheet.

Defensively, the Chiefs just couldn't get off the field. The Chargers made play after play on third down to keep floundering drives going - The Charger's 11 of 15 on third down compared to the Chief's 0-11. Is that right? 0% third down efficiency? uggghh, this game was worse than I thought. Nevermind, why am I trying to find bright spots. Fuck it, let's look at the rest of the season.

The Chiefs now most likely have to win out to win the division and go to the playoffs. The Chargers have a game lead in Conference record which would be a tiebreaker if they finish with the same record as our Chiefs. Certainly it is doable with the remaining schedule.

at St Louis - St Louis is a young team fighting for their division Championship (very dangerous game)
Home against Tennessee - They seem to have given up, should be an easy win
Home against Oakland - Throw out the record books when we play the Raiders, anything could happen.

Take care of business and we go to the playoffs. I think we can do it, but let's be honest, it's just good to play meaningful games in December.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is playing at AMC Mainstreet 6 on December 14 & 18th.

One of the greatest Christmas movies of all time, 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation', is playing Tuesday December 14th and Saturday December 18th on the big screen at the AMC Mainstreet 6 movie theater down by the Power & Light District. Tickets are a bargain at $5.

Don't think for one second that you can just watch it on T.V. and it will compare to the full movie experience...it doesn't. I had the chance to see 'A Christmas Story' there this past weekend and it was worth every penny because the room was big, the screen was big, the characters were big, the popcorn was perfect, and the entire movie experience in all of its glory was shining on a huge screen. It was awesome.

Even though 'Christmas Vacation' will be on T.V. 50 times between now and Christmas, do yourself a favor and pack up the family, head down to AMC 6, and witness one of the greatest Christmas miracles of all time.

Bush Tax Cuts…a different way to look at it.

Do you think the “Rich” should be taxed more than the rest of Americans? Are you for letting the Bush Tax Cuts expire on the Rich but not anyone else? I am talking to every one of you people who believe the Rich should get a tax increase while the rest of Americans’ tax rates stay the same. Am I talking to the right people now?

Most of the people who support taxing the Rich disproportionately higher than the rest of Americans have this mentality that the rich have too much and should share their wealth with the less fortunate through some kind of government taxation type social justice. Well I have two news flashes for you. The Rich already give money to the less fortunate…because they want to. And the second is that YOU (the people who think Americans making more than $250K per year) are rich compared to the poor in this country and compared to the Rich in many, many, many, many other countries. So what are YOU going to do to spread YOUR wealth with the rest of the world…or are their only poor people in America…or are you people who do not make over $250K per year just hypocrites?

I have been struggling with how to get anyone who isn’t in the $250K plus income range to see things differently as it relates to income tax, sales tax and many other messed up taxes. It has been a struggle (thus the struggling part). So here is what I propose and please let me know what you think. The poor in our country should be taxed 60% of their income (similar to how they would like to see the Rich taxed). So if a family of 4 makes $22,500/year (family of 4 poverty line), I suggest they give $13,500 of it to the government or a 3rd world country. That lets them take home $9,000 per year or $750 per month. Does that seem fair?

Can a poverty line family of four live on $750/month? Poverty line family of 4 people are rich compared to people living in other parts of the world…I mean REALLY rich. So should folks at or below the poverty line be forced to give away most of what they make to those who are less fortunate than they are? Does the government taking more of their hard earned dollar home than they do seem fair? So…poverty line Americans are Rich relative to many other countries so we should tax the hell out of them right? The truth is that poverty line poverty folks are RICH…filthy rich…right?

How about the middle class people out there? Let’s say a middle class family makes $80K per year (either a one income family or two parents making that income together). If we tax you at 60%, you now get to take home $32,000 per year or $2,670 per month. Can you live on that? Yes/No? Well how come the Poor can live on much less than that? Doesn’t that make you folks in the Middle class rich? I mean REALLY rich?…I would think so. So now that you have moved from the middle class to the Rich, 60% of your income should go to the government. Is that fair? How about 70% or 80%? When does it end and when is enough, enough?

The same thing should apply with the homeless guy in the United States. I say we put an IRS agent on every street corner to make sure that $.60 of every dollar someone gives them for cleaning a windshield is taken away and given to the IRS agent. Make sense? Even the homeless in America are better off than the majority of the poorest in 3rd world countries…and I don’t think anybody wants to be homeless…I know I sure don’t. But since the homeless are now the Rich, don’t we have a social justice responsibility to tax them into feeling as crappy about themselves as the jack wagons who believe that because someone has more than they do, they should be punished?

How about a different approach… do you think the life of the family of 4 poverty line person would be better or worse if they had an extra $13,500 to spend a year (which would be an extra $1,250 per month)? Hmmm…$750/month taxed at 60% versus $1,875/month not taxed at all, to live life….which one is better? How about the middle income family? Could they use the extra money? Oh wait…the middle income family is actually the Rich compared to the rest of the world…so never mind.

So I guess my point is that now that you middle income, lower income, and homeless people are now the Rich, does it seem fair to tax you at 60%...or 70%...or 80% like some folks would like? Would you like it? Because the truth is that YOU are the rich ones. How does it feel? Do you like it? I mean if someone walked in your door tomorrow and took 60% or more of your stuff just because you had more than they did. Yes…this could be the homeless guy looking at the poverty line family of 4…give me 60% because you have more than I do and since I, the homeless guy, am suffering, you need to suffer too.

Is it crazy yet? This is exactly what is happening today with the discussion around the Bush Tax Cuts expiring. Instead of looking at your brother and being envious of what he has that you don’t have, go to school, work harder, get a better job, start your own business, find a mentor, read every book you can find on getting ahead in life, find a business coach who will work with you for free, there are a thousand things you can do to improve your own situation…but bitching about someone else having more than you when you do nothing about it isn’t going to fix anything and supporting tax law/codes/legislation that punishes people who have more than you do…just because they have more than you do…is ridiculous.

Chiefs Chargers - Why We Lost the Game on the First Drive

The Chiefs lost this game on the very first drive.  What moron would call 4 running plays in a row when The Chargers KNOW that the running game is all we have? (oh, that link goes to a Charger's website where they talk about the fact that they KNOW that the run is all we have) - Today, the Chiefs did the classic idiotic play calling sequence:

Run - small gain
Run - amazingly a first down
Run - small gain
Run - small gain
3rd Down - yeah, great time to pass now that they fucking KNOW we're going to pass.  FAIL.

At this exact point this game was over.  Not overreacting here, this actually ended the game.  Why?  Because once the Chargers knew that we weren't going to throw the ball, they got nice and comfortable and teed off on our running game.  Great scheme guys.

Here is what an intelligent NFL team would have done on the first drive:

1st play of the game - LONG BOMB.  Incomplete, interception, who cares?  As long as they know that we're going to test them deep.

2nd play of the game - PLAY ACTION PASS.  They are sitting on the run - the play action would have been PERFECT - even just a short pass would have been effective here.

3rd play of the game - PLAY ACTION PASS.  That's right - ANOTHER pass.  Let them think that we're going to pass all damn day.

If the Chiefs had anyone on staff who knew anything about football, we could have had a chance in this game.  But it is obvious that they do not.  4 fucking runs in a row - great strategy guys, IDIOTS.

This is why the Chiefs haven't won a playoff game in 200 years or so.  The funny part is, there was a girl watching the game with us and she didn't know anything about football - her EXACT quote was "why are they running the ball so much right off the bat when they know that our quarterback is hurt and that we're going to have to run the ball for the whole game?"  - Yes, ladies and gentleman, even a girl who knows nothing about football knows more than the Chiefs coaching staff.  I turned the game off after the 1st quarter.  No need to watch any more of THAT.

Let me know what the final score is - or no, wait, how about don't.  I'm going out to eat.

Mark Madoff, son of Bernie Madoff, hangs himself.

Mark Madoff turned his dad in to the authorities 2 years ago. This is when the world learned that Bernie Madoff was the first real contender to change the phrase "Ponzi Scheme" to "Madoff Scheme". Today, Mark Madoff hung himself in his New York apartment while his 2 year old son slept.

I have a real problem with anyone taking their own life. It is the selfish way out. Mark Madoff left a wife, some kids, and a gigantic scar that will haunt them the rest of their lives. Where is daddy? When will daddy come home? I wish dad could see me now, I wish dad was here at my wedding...etc. Complete crap.

Seeing someone dead as an adult is painful enough but if that little two year old kid woke up and saw his father hanging from a dog leash, imaging how that would have effected his life...oh wait his father already effected his son's life when he chose to take his own.

There are plenty of places to go for help. Call a suicide hotline, find a counselor, exercise, grab a priest, find a hooker, or just frickin' cry out for help! But taking your own life by choice is selfish and effects many, many, many other lives.

He was under investigation for something but the word is that his investigation wouldn't have lead to prison. He had civil lawsuits filed against him but once again, he wouldn't end up in prison. So the prison excuse is out. If he thought he was saving his family by ending his life for life insurance, it would have just been sucked away somehow through the wonderful American Justice system where lawyers are paid to see how hard they can screw you...and the insurance money would be gone.

Regardless of all of it, my message is no matter how bad your life is, don't kill yourself. If you have ever met one person in your life or have ever had 1 friend in your life...just one...then don't kill yourself because you will be missed and you will negatively effect others. Life will get better and each day you fight through the rough days it will bring you closer to the good days while at the same time help you appreciate the life you have been given. Choosing to check out without paying your bill is wrong.

There isn't a soul on this earth that is too fat, ugly, lonely, or depressed to justify pullingl the trigger, swallowing the pills, or swinging from a tree. I guess since Mark Madoff's father was selfish enough to steal billions of dollars in "play money" to him and destroy the lives of thousands of people, it just makes sense genetically/hereditarily that Mark Madoff would not think of a soul (much less his own family) when he decided to swing from a pole wearing a dog collar.

I pray for your soul Mark Madoff.
