Alyssa Bustamante Gets Life in Prison 2nd Degree Murder

The 15 year old girl who said that it felt "amazing" to kill her neighbor, Alyssa Bustamante received a life sentence today for the charge of second degree murder. Obviously, this was a case of first degree murder because Alyssa planned it, dug a grave, lured the neighbor girl out of her house with the help of her younger sister, and also packed a backpack with a knife in it before leading the girl out into the woods to "show her a surprise" she had for her. What a monster! Bustamante will now have to serve a minimum of 35 years and 5 months in jail until she is eligible for parole. She has already served 2 years awaiting trial and that will most likely count toward the 35 years, so we can look forward to possibly seeing her somewhere around the year 2040, when she will be 53 years old.

In a court hearing today, Cole County Circuit Judge Patricia Joyce handed down the sentence to the now 18 year old Alyssa Bustamante who at one point in the hearing turned to Patti Preiss, mother of Elizabeth Olten and made an apology to the tune of:

"I really am extremely, very sorry for everything. I know words," she paused here to take a deep breath and gain control, "can never be enough, and they can never adequately describe how horribly I feel for all of this. If I could give my life to get her back I would. I'm sorry."

Well now isn't that special? I'm so sorry that I strangled, stabbed and then slit the throat of your 9 year old daughter because I "wanted to know what it felt like". Sorry about that, my bad. Sorry psycho hose beast, but you are bat shit crazy and headed for the lezbo home for the criminally gifted, where you will quickly become a dyke and probably be passed around from inmate to inmate until everyone has had a taste. And furthermore, I doubt that this incident will be forgotten in 33 years when you are up for parole, as you came from bad stock, a father who was already in jail for stabbing someone, and a mother who was unfit. The real shame is that it is the poor and uneducated people in America who multiply the most. Give me a couple who can't pay the bills, have criminal backgrounds and have a combined IQ of 85, and I will bet you $100 that they have a LEAST one idiot child running around mocking the Jerry Springer Show that is constantly playing in the living room as a background to their trash lives. Wealthy, intelligent people wait until the time is right to have children, when they can afford them, and when they can educate them. Poor people just shoot them out right and left, knowing that good old welfare will have to take care of the kids, or like Alyssa Bustamante, they will end up in jail or juvenile homes anyway.

Alyssa Bustamante is a shining example of a child that is a result of parents who are too stupid and poor to multiply and unfortunately, this case had deadly results.

MU Basketball KU Border War February 4th, 2012 8pm Central

At 8pm February 4th, 2012, at Mizzou's home stadium in Columbia, Missouri, the 4th ranked MU basketball team will face the 8th ranked KU basketball team. With less than one hour away from the Border War basketball game between KU and MU, KU players are getting ready to play one of the most important games of the season. As the NCAA Big 12 basketball teams rally for position, tonight's game could (and will) determine which team will sit on top in first place of the Big 12. There is also a possibility of a three-way tie for first, depending on the results of the 2012 Border War between MU and KU.

Thomas Robinson is a standout player for KU basketball and is most noted for his play on the court but also for the loss of his grandparents and mother within one month's time. Robinson's mother died of a heart attack at the age of 37 after losing both of her parents only weeks before. The KU Jayhawks honored Robinson with a moment of silence in a game on January 22nd, 2011. Of Robinson's character, head coach Bill Self said "Thomas lost his grandmother at the very end of December, he lost his grandfather on Sunday and lost his mother on Friday night. For him to even be out there [on the court] is remarkable."

This Border War between MU and KU is going to be a good one because both teams are rated in the top ten and if the right things happen the result of this game will cause a three way tie in the league for first place. Mizzou basketball fans have been camped out all night in front of Mizzou Arena, waiting for the ESPN analysts and other media hype institutions. The stadium opened up minutes ago and there is no doubt that this will be a sold out event. Missouri enters the match up with the better squad, but both teams have been performing poorly as of late, losing to or barely defeating inept teams. MU will be washing it's hands of the Big 12 in July and heading to the bigger and better stage of the SEC, leaving KU behind to continue to battle in the trenches with the mutants. Regardless of the outcome of tonight's Border War between KU and MU, Mizzou will be victorious overall in the Border War history, thus closing that chapter for good.

Hollywood Casino Kansas City Opens Friday Smoking Allowed

$386 Million dollars later, the Hollywood Casino in Kansas City, Kansas near the Kansas Speedway will open it's doors on Friday, February 3rd, as planned. Construction for the new casino was finished ahead of schedule due to the mild weather that we have experienced in the Kansas City area this "winter". Many inquiries are flying in to us at Kansas City News about smoking at Hollywood Casino, and the answer is HELL YES you can smoke at the casino. The law is strict but they are not stupid, they know that smoking cigarettes and gambling go hand in hand and that they also know that the Hollywood Casino is poised to raise $203 million dollars during it's first year of operation. 22% of the revenues from the casino will go to the state of Kansas, while 5% will go to the city of Kansas City, Kansas, where it will be dumped into welfare like worthless programs and gambling help centers and programs. Obama's welfare based game plan will prevail here, and the 5% that will go to Kansas City, Kansas will help out the welfare mama's sitting around the house with 4 or 5 illegitimate children drawing welfare checks. Gotta love the dumb ass democrats.

Gambling is a fast growing fixture here in the Kansas City area. I can remember when Sam's Town first opened back in 1995. It was a BIG DEAL for Kansas City, and if any of you remember, back in those days, the casinos actually had to be riverboats. The casinos were giant boats that would board passengers every 2 hours and then cruise up and down the Missouri River. Crazy huh? You would have to wait in line on the docks to board the riverboats when they returned to pick up new passengers. Sam's Town is now owned and operated by Cerner and is used as a special events facility. After this was deemed ridiculous, and probably dangerous, the law changed to state that the new casinos being built (Ameristar, Harrah's, and Isle of Capri - or as we call it "Pile of Debri") would only have to be sitting on some sort of water. This was even more ridiculous as they simply built the buildings over about 1 foot of water under the gambling floor. Now, Kansas City has completely abandoned any rules when it comes to casinos including smoking in a public place, they just ignore that rule and let everyone smoke away.

The new Hollywood Casino in Kansas City has been described by those who got a sneak peek today at a mini grand opening by invitation only with proceeds benefitting the Sunflower House as being much bigger and better than any of the other casinos in the area. Most said that it more closely resembled the large and grand Las Vegas casinos rather than the ghetto Kansas City casinos loaded with penny machines and low life drifters. If you plan to visit the new Hollywood Casino, remember the golden rule of gambling, "only bring what you plan to lose".

Pro Bowl 2012 Roster Depth Chart Starters

Well, if you're here in Kansas City, the idea of being in Honolulu, Hawaii sounds pretty damn good right now. Having been to Honolulu and staying in the same resort that the NFL Pro Bowl players are staying in, believe me, it is awesome. The 2012 Pro Bowl Game is pretty much just a nice vacation for the NFL players who were honored to be selected to go and represent their teams. Obviously many of the key players who were voted to the game will not be attending as players for the Super Bowl matchup New York Giants and New England Patriots will be reporting to Indianapolis for practice later in the week and will not participate in the 2012 Pro Bowl. The rosters, depth charts and starters are as follows:

Animal Shelters in Kansas City Lose Funding

It was a sad day for local Kansas City Animal Shelters when they found out that a program introduced by Spay and Neuter Kansas City and Heartland SPCA would be defunded in 2012. Taking away the funding for this spaying and neutering program will mean thousands of puppies and kittens will be homeless in the near future. These programs asked for a VERY reasonable $180,000 of the $300 MILLION dollar city budget to fund the cause, but were turned down for other groups like Harvesters - who already have a strong charity base in Kansas City of private donors. It just doesn't make sense and it is a tragedy.

The program, which had been funded up until last year, was to assist in the costs of spaying and neutering pets owned by low income pet owners in Kansas City. Legislators in Kansas City that voted to defund the program defended their vote by saying that it was more important to take care of the people in Kansas City than the animals. Many argue that this is a "save a penny, LOSE a dollar solution" - in other words the city might be saving money in the short term, but after a few months of cats and dogs running around the city without being spayed or neutered, it will surely mean that thousands of puppies and kittens will end up in the pounds and shelters, costing the city even MORE money in the long run.

Most importantly, IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO SPAY AND NEUTER A DOG OR CAT, YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO OWN ONE. Please do not take on the responsibility of owning a pet if you can't even afford to have it spayed or neutered. Unfortunately, the people in the ghetto and low income areas probably won't be online reading this - but if you know anyone who might be in this situation, please tell them to consider waiting until they are in a more financially stable living situation before they take in a pet.

The spaying and neutering program was extremely successful, and local Kansas City animal shelters and pounds saw a drop of nearly 50% of the stray animals that were dropped off at their shelters in the past 5 years. YOU CAN HELP! Please consider making a donation to any of the following animal shelters in Kansas City. Every little bit helps, and if you are not in the market to adopt a dog or cat without a home, at least donate a little bit to the cause if you are able.

The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City - offers adoptions, accepts donations, provides spay and neuter services.

Kansas City Animal Control Shelter - 4400 Raytown Road - one of the animal adoption centers that really needs your help! Please consider adopting a wonderful animal from this shelter as they are only able to keep their dogs and cats for one month before they must have them put to sleep.

Animal Medical Center - 75th street in Waldo - veterinary service and adoption service.

Wayside Waifs - animal adoption center, cats and dogs, spayed and neutered.

Heartland SPCA - Heroes for Pets, Partners for Life.

Spay and Neuter Kansas City - Offers spaying and neutering for cats and dogs and also offers discounted rates for low income families who qualify.
