KC Charity Global FC looking for mentors by KCMB News Kansas City

Become a mentor. Feel the impact.

Global FC offers fun and unique opportunities for the Kansas City community members - KCMB News

Young people who have experienced trauma and / or other difficult childhood experiences are more likely to suffer from seven of the ten leading causes of death in the US. Research has shown that the consistent presence of a positive, caring adult can reverse the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

Kansas City mentors often express the following benefits to their lives:

~ Feeling connected to their community
~ Enriching their personal development
~ Learning new skills
~ Staying active
~ Enhancing their career

From the KC charity: "Here at Global FC we use soccer as a vehicle for transformative impact, supporting under-served youth by providing resources, opportunities, and relationships towards a brighter future."

KC Charity volunteer testimony:

"Being a member helped me realize a goal of being more active in bettering my community. I looked forward to each session and came away from each KC Charity participation smiling and feeling like I had been recharged! Something I desperately needed during the pandemic craze."

From the organization:

My name is Patricia and I am the director of mentoring here at Global FC. We are always recruiting mentors and would love your help spreading the word as we continue to expand and start a girls program.

I am happy to answer any questions you may have!
